Dr. Joseph Neve, Au.D, CCC-A, Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Neve is the Vice President, Clinical Director and General Manager for the Prism Hearing Solutions dba Sound Hearing Instruments. His role is to lead and manage the company’s expanding offices and staff.

Joe Neve received his Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) from the University of Florida, Gainesville, Master’s in Audiology from the University of Minnesota and his Bachelor’s in Finance and Marketing from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. He is licensed to practice Audiology in the state of Minnesota. Dr. Neve achieved the status of 2020 Academy Scholar by completing over 70 continuing education hours (7.1 CEUs) in 2018-2019. Scholar Award Recipients demonstrate a dedication to the field of audiology and a commitment to professional excellence.

Dr. Neve spent 24 years of his career in a family business, Avada Audiology and Hearing Care, that his parents started in 1988. As the business grew to 13 full-time and 20 outreach locations, Dr. Neve served as Director of Audiology. He became President in 2006 remaining in that capacity until 2014 when the company was sold. Most recently, Dr. Neve was the Director of Audiology at the world renowned Paparella Ear Head Neck Institute from 2015 to 2020. There he managed a team of Doctors of Audiology working closely with Otolaryngologists focused on evaluating and treating patients with ear diseases, hearing loss, dizziness and balance disorders, tinnitus, hearing instruments, osseo-integrated or bone anchored devices and cochlear implants.

His clinical interests include evaluation and treatment of hearing disorders, tinnitus management, and hearing instruments. Dr. Neve has helped thousands of people reconnect with their family and friends through better hearing. He has a special connection to his patients since he has worn hearing instruments himself since 1996. Dr. Neve is an expert with the latest in digital hearing technology including connectivity to other devices in our lives such as cell phones and televisions.

In his spare time, Joe enjoys reading, biking, sailing, running half marathons and spending time with his wife, four children and dog, Paco.
